DBT ( Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that combines traditional cognitive-behavioral techniques with acceptance and mindfulness strategies. Originally developed to treat individuals with borderline personality disorder, DBT has proven effective for various mental health conditions. It emphasizes skills training in areas such as emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. The "dialectical" part refers to finding a balance between acceptance and change, encouraging individuals to accept themselves while also working towards positive changes in their thoughts  and behaviors.
